Following the RX-93 ν Gundam, Japanese model manufacturer PLEX's 'Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD' series today announced another iconic mobile suit from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," the "Sazabi -SD Gundam-," slated for release in November 2024.
In the series, the "MSN-04 Sazabi," piloted by Commander Char Aznable, is a large mobile suit, approximately 26 meters in length, that incorporates the technologies of successive Zeon-type mobile suits. Its color is as crimson as Char's previous custom mobile suits. The entire unit is equipped with fuel tanks, numerous thrusters, and attitude control nozzles, allowing it to demonstrate excellent maneuverability in space despite its seemingly bulky appearance. In terms of firepower, this mobile suit is armed with a high-output large beam rifle, a large beam tomahawk, a belly-mounted diffuse mega particle cannon, and other weapons. Additionally, parts of its internal structure utilize a Psycho-Frame, enabling Char to unleash his Newtype abilities and execute all-range attacks with the 6 funnels mounted on its back.
The "Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure SD Sazabi -SD Gundam-" is crafted in an impressive 24cm tall size, presenting the typically compact two-head-tall SD form with significant presence. All parts of the mobile suit are designed using 3D modeling, which not only enhances the precision of its detailed sculpt but also provides multiple points of articulation in the neck, shoulders, wrists, and waist. It also comes with interchangeable armaments such as a beam shotgun, beam tomahawk, and shield.
