TAMA-KYU "Bottle Yokai" Gashapon: Yokai like Tengu, Kappa, and Kitsune Captured in Bottles and Made into Charms!

Japan's Bushiroad Creative company's gashapon brand TAMA-KYU has unveiled a very interesting new product—the "Bottle Yokai" capsule toy series. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per turn, and it is scheduled to launch in late August 2024!

In ancient Japan, any natural phenomena, people, or objects that humans could not explain were attributed to yokai mischief, leading to many legends about them. Many yokai are also frequently adapted into characters in modern works. This "Bottle Yokai" series 3D-ifies four yokai from Japanese folklore and encloses them within bottles approximately 5.8 cm tall. The collection includes five types: Tengu, Kappa, Rokurokubi, and two colors (red and blue) of the Nine-tailed Fox. The yokai, some struggling and some appearing to have given up on escaping, look incredibly cute. Worn as charms on school bags, they are sure to become a major highlight!
