HIYA Toys, a Chinese toy brand renowned for producing high-quality collectibles from Legendary Pictures' Godzilla franchise under its EXQUISITE BASIC series, is once again releasing a new product based on the latest film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Following the release of "Shimo," they are now introducing the "Kong" non-scale articulated figure, priced at an estimated $51 USD and slated for release in the first quarter of 2025!
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, directed once again by Adam Wingard (who helmed 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong), is the fifth installment in Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse. The story continues from the previous film, Godzilla vs. Kong, detailing humanity's newfound understanding of the world after realizing that life exists not only on the surface but also in the Hollow Earth. As powerful forces lurking in the Hollow Earth draw closer, Kong and his former rival Godzilla must team up to confront the threat of the ancient Titans from below – Skar King and Shimo!
This Kong non-scale articulated figure stands approximately 16 cm tall and is meticulously crafted based on the film's 3D model data. It features detailed sculpting of Kong's muscular, fur-covered physique and various scars, with multi-layered paintwork to achieve a visually rich fur texture and lifelike eyes. The articulation has been significantly upgraded compared to the previously released Skull Island Kong, allowing for smooth posing in dynamic stances such as sitting on the ground or walking on all fours. Coupled with multiple interchangeable hands, a roaring head sculpt, and his iconic battle axe, this figure perfectly recreates Kong's unstoppable and majestic presence from the movie!
