SUPER7, an American toy brand dedicated to various pop culture-themed toys, will release a large soft vinyl figure of the legendary rapper "MF DOOM" from the "SuperSize" series to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the classic hip-hop song "All Caps." The figure's suggested retail price is US$295, and pre-orders are scheduled to open on the SUPER7 official website from August 5, 2024, at 10 AM CT to August 7, 2024, at 12 PM ET!
British-American rapper "MF DOOM," whose real name is Daniel Dumile, was known for his distinctive, intricate wordplay techniques and his villainous image, complete with a metal mask resembling Marvel's Doctor Doom. In 2004, DOOM released the album "Madvillainy" as part of the hip-hop duo "Madvillain" with producer Madlib. The design of this product is based on the animated music video for the song "All Caps" from that album, directed by James Reitano!
This MF DOOM large soft vinyl figure stands at an impressive 40.4 cm tall, faithfully recreating the character's design from the animation, which references the art style of the American comic book Silver Age. It captures DOOM's incredibly robust physique, with sculpted details like the drapery of his green coat and the intricate design of his mask. The figure also features simple articulation at the shoulders, neck, waist, and ankles, allowing for adjustments to suit various display needs. Just looking at the few official photos and 3D models released makes it look incredibly cool! Toy collectors who are fans of MF DOOM shouldn't miss this opportunity to commemorate this hip-hop legend!
