Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Gashapon brand will launch its latest product, themed after Nintendo's popular video game "Kirby," starting from the second week of August 2024. This new series is titled "Kirby Punipuni Squad (tentative translation, JP: 星のカービィ ぷにぷにし隊)", with a reference price of 400 JPY per capsule.
This product will be sold in Gashapon's largest capsule ever, measuring 90mm. Compared to the previous largest 79mm capsule, this new size increases the diameter by approximately 11mm and the volume by 150%, allowing for larger or more content-rich Gashapon products. For instance, the "Full-Belly Kirby" in this series boasts a large size of approximately 7.2 cm in width, capable of filling your palm.
The "Kirby Punipuni Squad" features a total of four types of figures: Sleeping Kirby, Sleeping Waddle Dee, Floating Kirby, and Full-Belly Kirby. In addition to the aforementioned Full-Belly Kirby, which measures approximately 7.2 cm in width, the other three figures are approximately 5.5 cm tall. Not only are their designs incredibly cute, but their squishy, bouncy texture is also incredibly soothing!
