Japan's Bandai SPIRITS company's popular "Ichiban Kuji" (一番くじ) series, where every draw wins a prize, will release a new online store exclusive product – "SAND LAND: THE SERIES". The suggested retail price is 1,200 JPY per draw, and it is scheduled to launch on August 9, 2024!
"SAND LAND" is a manga series by Akira Toriyama, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2000. In 2023, it was adapted into a theatrical film and a web anime released on streaming platforms. It was later announced that an extended theatrical version anime series, "SAND LAND: THE SERIES," would be released in 2024. The story follows the adventure of the demon prince Belzebub, the demon Thief, and the human sheriff Rao, as they embark on a quest to find the "Phantom Spring" in a future where water resources are depleted and humans and demons coexist!
This "SAND LAND: THE SERIES" Ichiban Kuji focuses on the upcoming anime series version, offering prizes of different tiers from A to F, including the Last One Prize and Double Chance Prize. Among these, Prizes A to C, the Last One Prize, and the Double Chance Prize are all character figures. They feature Sheriff Rao, the demon Thief, and the original character Muniel (ムニエル) from the web anime and game versions, respectively. The Last One Prize and Double Chance Prize feature the demon prince Belzebub, presented with a special flat-style paint application, using an all-black shading technique to recreate the visual effect seen in the theatrical trailer!
