The "Saint Cloth Myth EX" series, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, will launch a limited edition product, "Hades ~ORIGINAL COLOR EDITION~", at "TAMASHII NATIONS 2024" held from November 15-17 at the Akihabara exhibition venue. The suggested retail price is 24,200 JPY, with pre-orders expected to open on August 20, 2024.
The solitary King of the Underworld, "Hades", governs all life forms in the entire universe. To prevent humanity from further degradation, he created the Avici Hell, where evildoers suffer endless torment, hoping humans would take heed; while those with pure souls could enter Elysium. However, as time passed, he gradually despaired over humanity's incorrigibility, thus attempting to destroy the current world with the "Great Eclipse" to create a new era. Cherishing his own body and unable to tolerate the slightest damage, he hides his physical form in the deepest part of the Underworld. Every 243 years, after breaking Athena's seal, he possesses the purest person of that era, instigating a Holy War to annihilate humanity.
The "Saint Cloth Myth EX Hades ~ORIGINAL COLOR EDITION~" action figure is based on the version released in 2020. The six-winged fallen angel Surplice adopts the original manga's design, utilizing electroplating to recreate the jet-black color with a shimmering purple glow and texture, exuding a deadly and ominous aura that creates an even more striking contrast with the pale skin tone. Hades' Sword, which severs all things in the world, emits a striking crimson metallic color when drawn! It can also be directly inserted into the scabbard, perfectly recreating the half-drawn sword pose from the series.
Utilizing the EX METAL body, the elbows and knee joints feature alloy parts, ensuring both accurate body proportions and enhanced overall stability and balance. It comes with a rich array of interchangeable expression parts, including a sorrowful normal face, a smiling face, a closed-eye face, a bleeding shouting face, and a gritting teeth face, as well as interchangeable hair, hand gestures, and a helmet. The cape is made of fabric with an embedded metal wire, allowing for flexible shape adjustment with movement. It can be assembled into its Surplice form and includes a dedicated Surplice display stand.
