Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS recently announced several new products to commemorate the brand's new exhibition, "TAMASHII NATION 2024," which will take place from November 15-17 in Akihabara, Tokyo. These include "MB 00 Qan[T] Full Saber," "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E. G-Armor ~Gundam 45th Anniversary~," "SHM Godzilla (2023) Heat Ray Ver.," "Saint Cloth Myth EX Hades ~ORIGINAL COLOR EDITION~," and more. This article will provide product information for the "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Blazar Fardran Armor" action figure! Suggested retail price is 9,000 JPY, releasing in November 2024.
As a series with a completely independent worldview, the Ultraman hero "Blazar" who appears in "Ultraman Blazar" is a mysterious giant from the M421 central celestial body, a "Blazar." Unlike the Ultramen from the Land of Light in Nebula M78, Blazar is completely unfamiliar with Earth's culture and language. Throughout the series, he communicates with his human host, "Gento Hiruma," almost entirely through unique roars and by making the Blazar Stone glow hot, a significant departure from previous Ultraman works. Blazar performs a prayer-like gesture before battle and fights monsters with a wild style, his signature move being the Spiral Ray.
The enhanced form "Fardran Armor," which debuted in Episode 19, "Light and Flame," is a new power combining with the fire dragon monster "Fardran." Not only can it unleash raging flames for attack, but it also further enhances the capabilities of the Chilso Stone Sword. The "Chilso Sword Fardran Lance," infused with Fardran's power, can perform slashes of fire and lightning, and later in the story, it unlocks a bow-and-arrow mode for long-range attacks.
This product, in collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, perfectly recreates Ultraman Blazar in his enhanced Fardran Armor form at a height of 15 cm. From the flame-like blue crystal on his head, his muscular physique, and the intricate asymmetrical red and blue patterns, to the sharply defined orange-yellow armor, every detail has been meticulously reproduced. The Color Timer on his chest and the right arm armor are finished with a heavy metallic paint application, showcasing superb texture. Accessories include multiple interchangeable hands, a red-glowing Color Timer, and the intricately sculpted Chilso Sword Fardran Lance. Combined with S.H.Figuarts' articulated design, you can recreate Blazar's various heroic battle poses, whether for close-quarters slashing or long-range archery!
