Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY, known for its "Nendoroid" series featuring over a thousand characters, is releasing a new product based on the popular IP "MOOMIN" – an articulated "Moomin" figure. The suggested retail price is 3,900 JPY, with an anticipated release in February 2025!
"MOOMIN" is a series of illustrated characters created by the Swedish-Finnish author Tove Jansson. The Moomin family is a family of forest-dwelling trolls (not hippos!) with large noses and round bodies. Curious by nature, they live a carefree life with their good friends in Moominvalley.
This Moomin Nendoroid stands approximately 9 cm tall, faithfully recreating the plump image of Moomin as drawn by Tove Jansson. The inherently cute design is perfectly preserved in the Q-version Nendoroid series, though it appears to have only simple articulation to maintain its adorable form. Accessories include a yellow seashell that Moomin can hold, and two interchangeable face plates: a "normal expression" and an "angry expression," allowing for various emotional displays. The adorably angry expression looks super cute!
