Submitted by LEGO fan Simon Scott (tvrulesmylife) on the LEGO Ideas platform and officially approved after receiving ten thousand votes, the "Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas" has finally announced its official product release! The set number is 21351, scheduled for release on September 6, 2024, with a suggested retail price of US$199.99.
The fantastical stop-motion animated film "The Nightmare Before Christmas," created by visionary director Tim Burton, tells the story that begins in the eerie "Halloween Town." Its residents are all terrifying in appearance, including zombies, werewolves, witches, and various other strange creatures. Their leader, Jack, is a very tall and slender skeleton. He has grown tired of the unchanging annual celebrations. By chance, Jack discovers "Christmas Town," a place full of warmth, joy, and vibrant colors. Captivated by this special atmosphere, Jack decides to imitate Christmas Town, but this action leads to a series of terrifying consequences...
This set contains a total of 2193 pieces. The overall scene presentation and specifications are not far from Simon Scott's original creation. The biggest difference is that Jack Skellington's crooked house structure has been reinterpreted. The spiral hill on the left has also been simplified and remade with a more streamlined design, featuring a giant moon backdrop. The Town Hall in the town square on the right boasts charming angles and decorative elements. The scene can be easily divided into three sections, allowing for combined display or separate play.
The minifigure lineup, in my personal opinion, is quite excellent and a highlight of this set for collectors. It includes Jack, Sally, the two-faced Mayor, Santa Claus, the incredibly accurate ghost dog Zero, and the mischievous trio Lock, Shock, and Barrel. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice that Jack's minifigure features new leg components, making him taller than the version previously seen in theDisney Minifigure blind bags~ This set is truly exciting!
▼ One of the key elements that perfectly captures the set's eerie charm: the walking bathtub is also highly reproduced, and the mischievous trio can even be placed inside – super cute!
