Japanese high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio's "Ultimate Premium Masterline" series recently announced its latest product from the DC comic masterpiece "Batman: Hush": the "Superman" (スーパーマン) 1/4 scale full body statue bonus version! Scheduled to ship from November 2025 to February 2026, with a suggested retail price of 178,090 JPY (tax included), limited to 750 units.
The comic "Batman: Hush," written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Korean-American comic master Jim Lee, features many famous villains related to Batman, including Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Joker, Harley Quinn, and more. Batman also discovers that behind these villains, there seems to be a mysterious figure with a bandaged face, "Hush"! Hush not only involves a host of villains in his meticulously planned operations but also seems to know Batman's past inside and out; Batman, in turn, takes action to uncover the mastermind behind the conspiracy.
One of the classic scenes in "Batman: Hush" is Superman, controlled by Poison Ivy, engaging in a confrontation with Batman. Although controlled, Superman consciously reduced his strength during the fight with Bruce. Ultimately, it was the shock of Lois Lane falling from the Daily Planet building that completely freed Superman from Poison Ivy's control.
Standing approximately 77 cm tall, this piece possesses an immense presence, powerfully bringing to life Jim Lee's Man of Steel. His formidable musculature, encased in the form-fitting red and blue suit, reveals exaggerated lines without reservation. The P1S production team further utilizes shadow painting and extensive costume wrinkles to fully convey a stunning sense of three-dimensionality, complemented by a dynamically sculpted cape that exudes the aura of a true powerhouse. In addition to the forward-gazing head sculpt, two interchangeable head sculpts are included: one looking downwards, and another depicting the "brainwashed state under Poison Ivy's control." The vines symbolizing Poison Ivy's powers are separate parts that can be freely attached and detached, and the rock-textured head sculpt base is also excellent.
▼ Purchases made at the Prime 1 Studio official store will also receive a bonus interchangeable head sculpt, paying homage to "Superman: For Tomorrow," further enhancing display versatility.
