Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE's completed space battleship model series, 'Cosmo Fleet Special', has announced a new product from "Gundam Reconguista in G", the "Megafauna Re.", scheduled for release in late January 2025.
The Megafauna was originally a space battleship built by the Amerian Army after analyzing the "Hermes Rose Design" and utilizing forbidden technology from the Universal Century. It possesses excellent performance, capable of entering the atmosphere and navigating in space, on land, and at sea. Although it was publicly declared dismantled after being denounced by the Space Capital Cult, it was actually disguised as a pirate fleet's battleship for secret testing.
The "Cosmo Fleet Special Megafauna Re." is a modified version based on the one released in 2015. It reuses previous parts to thoroughly reproduce the ship's unique curves, intricate bridge, and thruster designs, and features a new, light weathering paint application. Paired with water-slide decals featuring the ship's markings, the sense of realism is further enhanced. The three main gun turrets on the hull can each rotate, and the front and rear hangars can replicate open/closed states by swapping parts. The anchor cranes on both sides of the hull can also be deployed.
Accessories include 6 mini Mobile Suit figures, such as the "G-Self" and "G-Arcane", which can be displayed on the ship. However, the "Minovsky Flight System" effect parts, which were a first-run bonus back then, are not included in this re-release.
