Hong Kong toy brand POSE+'s new alloy action figure series "METAL HEAT" has announced its third release in the "Getter Robo Armageddon" theme, following the previous "Getter 1 Armageddon Ver." and "Getter 2 Armageddon Ver.". This is the "Getter 3 Armageddon Ver." alloy action figure, with a suggested retail price of 27,500 JPY, scheduled for release in February 2025!
The "METAL HEAT" series of figures emphasizes reasonable pricing and high articulation while maintaining the exquisite sculpting of alloy figures. The name "HEAT" is an acronym formed from the initial letters of three key selling points of the series: "Hybrid" (H), which combines anime styling with abundant accessories; "Extended Action" (EA), for high poseability; and "Team-up" (T), for collecting partners from the series. This creates high-quality alloy figures that combine aesthetics, articulation, and character collection for collectors!
The Getter 3, released this time, stands approximately 20 cm tall. It is constructed from plastic and alloy, faithfully recreating Getter 3's appearance from the 1998 OVA "Getter Robo Armageddon". The missile launchers on both sides of the head, formed by the Bear unit, are articulated to adjust aiming direction. The neck features a ball joint and an extendable mechanism, allowing for an extremely wide range of upward head movement. The waist's drawer-style triple expansion structure enables significant forward bending. The heavy alloy lower body incorporates rotating joints at the connections of the tracks on both sides and between the wheels, allowing Getter 3 to tackle various terrains!
A major highlight this time is undoubtedly the multi-joint design of the arms. In their normal state, the arms feature four axial joints for simple bending. When the extended arms with wire structures are attached, the length of a single arm reaches an astonishing 40 cm. Coupled with interchangeable hands featuring five articulated fingers, this allows for the recreation of various grappling and throwing dynamics from the series!
The accessories also include missile heads for both sides of the head, flame effects for missile launches, and propulsion flame effects for the lower tank body, allowing collectors to vividly recreate Getter 3's impressive poses!
