American toy brand NECA, in collaboration with Universal Monsters, is bringing back their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed products in a black and white color scheme! Today (the 20th), they unveiled the latest 7-inch action figure 4-pack, with a suggested retail price of US$149.99, expected to ship from August to September 2024.
The character lineup selected this time includes "Frankenstein's Monster Raphael", "Mummy Michelangelo", "Invisible Man Donatello", and "Creature from the Black Lagoon Leonardo". Aside from the new black and white paint scheme, which evokes the nostalgic style of classic black and white films, the sculpts are essentially the same as the original color versions.
For me, this set not only allows you to collect all four Turtle brothers' Universal Monsters collaboration designs at once, but the packaging, infused with a strong American design aesthetic, also holds immense collector's value. The close-up headshots of the four characters, along with their names rendered in four different fonts, look increasingly impressive!
