GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has announced the latest product in their popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different figures: the official mascot of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo, "Nendoroid 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo Myaku-Myaku". The suggested retail price is 4,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2025!
The "Japan Osaka-Kansai Expo," also known as the Land, Sea, and Air Expo, will be grandly held starting April 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island, an artificial island in Osaka Bay! The official mascot, "MYAKU-MYAKU (ミャクミャク)," which has garnered attention for its peculiar appearance, was designed with Osaka's "City of Water" characteristic as inspiration. It is set to be a mysterious creature born from the fusion of cells and water in a small spring somewhere in the Kansai region! Its head is a red cell representing life and diversity, while its blue body is pure water capable of embracing everything. It can transform and has no fixed form, symbolizing its ability to bring various facets to the expo. Currently, it is imitating humans.
The "Nendoroid 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo Myaku-Myaku" stands approximately 9 cm tall, faithfully recreating Myaku-Myaku's unique and bizarre appearance. It features concave blue eyes designed on its red cell-like head, and the teardrop shapes and small eyes on its blue body are also charmingly reproduced. It comes with a vibrant smiling expression, along with various interchangeable hand parts and a sign bearing its name, allowing you to enjoy various poses depicting its mascot duties!
