First 4 Figures Metal Gear Solid 3 "BIG BOSS REQUIEM 1/4 Scale Statue" Recreates the Tear-Jerking Salute at the Grave!

First 4 Figures, the British toy brand renowned for its high-quality video game-themed statues, has announced that pre-orders for its latest product, the "BIG BOSS REQUIEM 1/4 Scale Statue," based on Hideo Kojima's masterpiece "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater," will begin on August 27, 2024.

"The future homeland sacrificed both honor and life; only she can be called a hero... only she is the true—'Patriot'."

After protagonist Naked Snake personally killed his mentor The Boss and returned home, he learned the truth behind The Boss's "treason" from the multi-faceted spy EVA. It turned out that The Boss was merely a pawn sacrificed by the U.S. government to prevent war with the Soviet Union, ordered to defect to the Soviets and then be killed by the Americans. While officially recorded in history as a traitor to the U.S., she was, in fact, a "true patriot" who willingly abandoned her honor, family, and life. Upon learning all this, Naked Snake arrived at The Boss's unmarked grave, offering lilies, the Patriot gun, and a most respectful salute, with tears of profound sorrow continuously streaming down his face...

First 4 Figures' "BIG BOSS REQUIEM" brings this incredibly tear-jerking scene from the game's ending to life in 1/4 scale, meticulously detailing Naked Snake's full military uniform, chest medals, hair, and wrinkles. The paint application further recreates the play of light and shadow on his skin and even visible veins. However, the currently revealed content only includes the Naked Snake figure itself and its base; it is uncertain whether accessories such as a lily bouquet, the Patriot gun, or even a tombstone will be included.
