The immensely popular die-cast car series 'TOMICA Tomy Mini Car', launched by Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY, has announced the latest collaborative product with the official Evangelion racing team, EVANGELION RACING: the "EVA RT Unit-01 Honda NSX", slated for release in November 2024.
The official Evangelion racing team, 'EVANGELION RACING', has participated in numerous races, primarily the Super GT series, since its establishment in 2010. The team's biggest highlight is its annual race cars, which feature the striking purple and green color scheme of the "EVA Unit-01" general-purpose humanoid decisive weapon from the Evangelion anime. Additionally, the team's beautiful race queens cosplay as the three popular heroines: Rei Ayanami, Asuka, and Mari Makinami.
The "EVA RT Unit-01 Honda NSX" released by TOMICA this time is based on car number 202, the "EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 KCMG NSX GT3", used by EVANGELION RACING in the 2023 'ENEOS Super Taikyu Series'. The product is a modification of a previously released model of the same type, featuring a metallic purple and green paint scheme across the entire body, with tampo printing used to reproduce sponsor logos, team logos, lines, and numbering on various parts of the car.
