The popular action figure series 『S.H.Figuarts』, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product in the Ultraman series, "Ultraman Zero Beyond (ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS Ver.)", scheduled for release in February 2025.
The Beyond Form, signifying transcending limits, is a powered-up form that Ultraman Zero transforms into using the "New Generation Capsule," a specialized enhancement item brought by Hikari. It combines the powers of four New Generation Heroes: Ginga, Orb, Victory, and X. Compared to his standard form, its power and speed are significantly enhanced, allowing for ultra-high-speed punches and kicks. The four Zero Sluggers mounted on his head can be flexibly thrown for cutting or combined to form two Beyond Twin Swords.
This time, the "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Zero Beyond" is being re-released under the ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS Ver. designation. The main body is essentially identical to the 2018 version, apart from potential color variations in the paintwork. The sculpt was created with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, thoroughly reproducing the cool head featuring four Zero Sluggers and detailed sculpting reminiscent of the suit from the show.
The articulation design also remains largely the same, featuring flexible joints with no exposed internal parts, allowing for dynamic battle poses from the show when combined with the four pairs of interchangeable hands. However, regarding accessories, this version does not mention the punching effect and Beyond Twin Sword effect included with the 2018 release. Instead, similar to the previously announced "Ultraman Zero (ULTRAMAN NEW GENERATION STARS Ver.)", it includes a new effect part for his beam finisher, the "Zero Wide Shot".
