Japanese company TAITO (Taito Corporation), following the previous "Hitori Gotoh", "Ryo Yamada", and "Nijika Ijichi", yesterday (22nd) announced on X (formerly Twitter) another new product in its "Desktop Cute" prize figure series, featuring the popular anime "Bocchi the Rock!" theme—"Ikuyo Kita", scheduled to be released as a prize figure in October 2024!
Ikuyo Kita, like Bocchi, attends Shuka High School and serves as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist in Kessoku Band. She once ran away before a performance because she couldn't play the guitar, but coincidentally, this led Nijika and Ryo to find Bocchi to join. Eventually, with Bocchi's careful guidance, she overcame her guitar difficulties. Kita has a cute appearance, loves dressing up and shopping, and is a very popular figure at school, forming a stark contrast with Bocchi, who attends the same school. However, she deeply loves and respects Bocchi, her senior, who meticulously taught her!
Kita, the last of the three band members to be featured, is depicted in a sitting pose, mid-conversation, with a bright smile. She wears a tracksuit jacket of the same style but different color as the previously revealed Bocchi, recreating its soft texture. Both her dress and hair are made from transparent PVC, creating a clear and light effect. The wrinkles and details of the pillow she holds are also delicately rendered. When displayed with the previously released other band members, it can create a cute scene reminiscent of a pajama party!
