The highly popular "figma" action figure series, designed by Japanese three-dimensional figure manufacturer MAX FACTORY (Max Factory Co., Ltd.), officially announced today (27th) its latest product from "Berserk": the "Skull Knight" (髑髏の騎士) action figure! Both a Standard Edition and a DX Edition, which includes his steed, will be released simultaneously, with an estimated launch in July 2025, priced at 13,800 JPY and 19,800 JPY respectively.
In the story of "Berserk," the enigmatic Skull Knight possesses unfathomable power, often appearing like a whirlwind on his jet-black steed whenever Guts finds himself in mortal danger. Beyond foretelling the coming "Eclipse" to Guts a year in advance and rescuing Guts and Casca from the "Eclipse's" deadly storm, he has subsequently come to the aid of Guts and his companions on numerous occasions; he shares an old friendship with Flora, the witch of the Spirit Tree Mansion, and was also the previous wearer of the "Berserker Armor." Furthermore, the Skull Knight utilized his abilities to forge the Behelits he seized from the Apostles into a "Sword of Actuation" (喚び水の剣) within his body, a blade capable of cleaving space and traversing different dimensions.
The "figma Skull Knight" stands at 17 cm tall, and not only fully captures the texture of the armor covering his body, but also meticulously recreates every detail, from the skull-like helmet, the circularly arranged sharp horns, the massive, spiked shoulder pads, the chest plate resembling human bones, to the leg armor sculpted to mimic human musculature. Additionally, the armor surface features heavy metallic painting and deep weathering and battle damage, realistically portraying this warrior from another realm! Coupled with his fabric cape and full articulation, you can pose him in dynamic, powerful combat stances.
The Skull Steed included in the DX Edition measures 23 cm in length. Beyond its highly accurate recreation of the armor it wears and the steed's own body texture, it is also equipped with a black fabric cape, just like the Skull Knight. With articulated legs and a stand, the Skull Knight can be securely mounted, allowing for incredibly cool mounted combat poses.
