Kaiyodo, a Japanese toy brand, has officially announced the first new release from its highly articulated action figure series "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI," featuring the popular protagonist "Saitama" (サイタマ) from "One-Punch Man." Following the earlier announcement of its exhibition at WF 2024 [Summer] news, the figure was finally unveiled yesterday (28th)! It is scheduled for release in June 2025, with a suggested retail price of 9,500 JPY.
Saitama, the protagonist and power ceiling of "One-Punch Man," was originally an ordinary person. After three years of arduous training (100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, 10 km running daily, and no air conditioning), he gained an invincible superpower! Although he lost all his hair, he can defeat any enemy with just "one punch."
This figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. It reinterprets Saitama's red and yellow hero suit with Katsuhisa Yamaguchi's distinctive joint design and body segmentation techniques, shaping dynamic muscle lines. The white cape, sewn by Kazu from fabric, also features an embedded wire, allowing it to be bent to greatly enhance the dynamic tension of Saitama's battle poses! There are a total of six head sculpts, including three serious faces (マジ顔) with different gazes and three shouting faces (叫び顔). Accessories include two types of impact wave effects to recreate his Serious Punch (マジ殴り), an orange-painted charging fist, the seemingly mundane but extraordinarily powerful Consecutive Normal Punches (連続普通のパンチ) when performed by Saitama, and multiple interchangeable hands.
