Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, which features over a thousand characters, is releasing a new product based on the classic anime 《Urusei Yatsura》 – the "Lum School Uniform Ver." articulated figure. The suggested retail price is 7,920 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2024!
《Urusei Yatsura》 (formerly translated in Taiwan as 《Fukusei Yatsura》) is the first long-running serialization by the renowned Japanese manga artist Rumiko Takahashi, known for works like 《Inuyasha》 and 《Ranma ½》. It was first adapted into an anime by Kitty Film in 1981, and in 2022, to commemorate Shogakukan's 100th anniversary, david production produced a new anime adaptation. The story follows Lum, a princess from a distant Oni star, who embarks on a journey to conquer Earth with her father. However, in a fateful showdown to decide Earth's destiny, she accidentally loses to the protagonist Ataru Moroboshi, thus beginning a tumultuous romantic comedy.
This Nendoroid "Lum School Uniform Ver." stands approximately 10 cm tall. Lum is sculpted in the adorable Nendoroid style, based on her school uniform appearance when she shows up at Ataru's school in the new anime. It includes two interchangeable body parts: one in her school uniform and another in her usual tiger-striped bikini. The handbag can also be held in a dignified two-handed pose using interchangeable hand parts. Additionally, it comes with three interchangeable face plates: "standard face," "smiling face," and "angry face," allowing fans to recreate various cute expressions from the series!
