The transforming and combining robot toy series "UNITROBORN", released by Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced its latest collaborative product, "UNITROBO Jagarico Crane", in partnership with Calbee Inc.'s super popular snack product "Jagarico (じゃがりこ)", slated for release in November 2024.
"UNITROBORN" is an original toy series that inherits the lineage of the early "Machine Robo" toys. The story is set around mechanical lifeforms "UTA-ZO" who came to Earth from space. To protect Earth's peace, they can use their singing voices to instantly combine any objects of the same color around them into robots. Lobsters and apples, sharks and vending machines, hamburgers and bulldozers... all sorts of imaginative combinations can merge into powerful robots to defeat the mysterious enemies causing chaos!
This product was developed with the cooperation of Calbee Inc., utilizing actual Jagarico product packaging data. It not only faithfully reproduces the packaging design on the snack cup and the potato sticks inside, but also features an incredibly creative transformation and combination mechanism. Simply connect the snack cup and the crane using the combination joints, and they will automatically unfold, transform, and complete the combination!
The combined robot boasts a cool silhouette, with the product logo on its chest. Its head design is inspired by Jagarico's mascot character, the "giraffe". Its weapons are cannons formed from potato sticks in both hands, thoroughly integrating Jagarico's product elements with the robot. Furthermore, the Jagarico snack cup features a new dual-mode mechanism that allows it to transform into both upper and lower body parts, enabling combination with other separately sold UNITROBORN series products!
