FUJIMI "CHIBIMARU Godzilla Series No.901 Biollante 70th Anniversary Edition" Assembly Model: Astonishing Power Undiminished Even in its Chibi Plant Beast Form!

FUJIMI, a Japanese model company, is releasing a new product in its "CHIBIMARU Godzilla" series, which features various chibi-style Godzilla monster models. This new item is the "No.901 Biollante 70th Anniversary Edition" assembly model, based on the movie "Godzilla vs. Biollante." It has a suggested retail price of 7,480 JPY and is scheduled for release on November 27, 2024!

The 1989 film "Godzilla vs. Biollante" (ゴジラvsビオランテ) continues the story from the 1984 "Godzilla." The Japanese government researches Godzilla cells to create "Anti-Nuclear Bacteria" (ANB). Dr. Genichiro Shiragami, who participates in the project, injects his deceased daughter's cells into a rose to preserve her soul after she dies in a terrorist attack. These cells later mix with Godzilla cells, giving birth to the plant monster Biollante.

This Biollante assembly model is a special 70th-anniversary edition for Godzilla. Once assembled, it stands approximately 13 cm tall and 18 cm wide. Crafted with new molds, it can be assembled glue-free and paint-free using around 160 parts to complete Biollante's plant beast form. Biollante's physique has been transformed into the chibi style of this series, with the core part featuring transparent orange components to recreate its appearance from the film. Although scaled down, its ferocity is in no way diminished!

The main body features 2 points of articulation, while each tentacle has 3 joints, allowing for flexible posing as desired. All lower jaws also have an opening and closing mechanism. It can be displayed alongside the previously released "Godzilla (1989) 70th Anniversary Edition" to recreate battle scenes from the film!
