Hong Kong model manufacturer YOLOPARK's "AMK PRO" series, known for its high-quality pre-painted alloy assembly model kits featuring partial alloy construction, recently showcased its highly anticipated Transformers classic animated series themed product – the "Nemesis Prime" pre-painted alloy assembly model kit – at various exhibitions for early pre-order. News of its official pre-order opening has just been announced, with a suggested retail price of US$49.99, and an estimated release in October 2024!
Nemesis Prime is a clone of Optimus Prime created by the terrorist organization M.E.C.H., led by Doctor Arkeville, using a sub-space pulse replicator. The Doctor connected the clone to an ancient, evil, and greedy life form, creating a powerful evil leader.
This "Animated G1 Nemesis Prime" is a repaint and modification based on the previously released "AMK PRO G1 Optimus Prime". Once assembled, it stands approximately 20 cm tall and features 35 points of articulation throughout its body. The hip joints incorporate a pull-out design, allowing for a greater forward range of motion. The overall construction utilizes injection-molded plastic and some die-cast metal parts, providing stable balance and a substantial feel!
The meticulous paint application faithfully recreates Nemesis Prime's appearance. The chest windows are now made with red translucent material, allowing a subtle glimpse of the Matrix housed within. The chest can also be opened to directly remove the Matrix. The black and silver color scheme, combined with the series' excellent partial weathering effects and the LED light-up function for the eyes (activated by a magnetic switch), powerfully showcases his evil aura! Accessories include an energy blaster, and the energy axe has been transformed into a dark red version. The editor personally owns the previous AMK PRO Optimus Prime, and while it doesn't feature transformation, its paintwork, articulation, and substantial feel are quite impressive.
