【CCSTOYS MORTAL MIND】Evolution! Armageddon Shin Getter 1 Atmospheric Entry Version Unboxing

Today, I'm sharing the Shin Getter 1 from CCSTOYS' MORTAL MIND series. Including this one, CCSTOYS has released a total of three Shin Getter 1 figures. They are the first version of Shin Getter 1, then the Black Getter (which is extremely sought-after), and finally, the Shin Getter 1 I'm sharing today. This version shares the same construction as the previous two. Compared to the first version of Shin Getter 1, this one features a completely new paint job with a metallic finish. In contrast to the first version's head sculpt, this edition has been redesigned and enhanced, giving the eyes a much more menacing look. Additionally, this version comes with the giant Stoner Sunspire and the two large wings for the Atmospheric Entry Version, which were not included in the first release. The price reflects the product; the difference in accessories compared to the first version is significant, and you can see the distinction just from the box packaging. Below is a simple unboxing review. I hope you all enjoy it.

▼ The box art style has remained consistent, always using a line-art presentation for the cover.

▼ Shin Getter 1

▼ Armageddon

▼ Compared to other MORTAL MIND figures I've purchased, this Shin Getter 1 box is noticeably thinner, mainly due to having fewer accessories.

▼ Its thinness is comparable to the Evangelion Unit-01 Final Version.

▼ Back of the box.

▼ Manufacturing date is April 2024. This Shin Getter 1 uses a lot of batteries, with eight LR41 (AG3) batteries alone.

▼ After opening the outer box, you're greeted by a color art card. It's really cool.

▼ Flipping it over, I expected to see manga-style line art, but that's not the case. This time, the back of the color art card doesn't feature line art.

▼ Removing the art card reveals the contents. The main figure is on the left, with the contents and accessories on the right.

▼ The consistently simple instruction manual.

▼ After removing the accessory tray, you can see the two wings for the Atmospheric Entry Version underneath, along with a display base and the Stoner Sunspire.

▼ Compared to the first version, I actually prefer this edition's color scheme. I especially love the pearlescent white. The red parts lean towards a deeper shade; in terms of paint application, it seems to be a clear red over a gold base. The shoulders are an even deeper red than the main body color.

▼ The main figure weighs 895.8 grams without any attachments.

▼ The main figure appears.

▼ The paint finish all over the body, especially the gold, is still stunning.

▼ The shoulders are a wine-red color.

▼ The paint finish on MORTAL MIND figures never disappoints.

▼ I particularly like this white; it's especially brilliant under the studio lights.

▼ Assembly complete.

▼ The head sculpt has been redone for this release. The sharp, menacing eyes are a huge improvement over the first version's head sculpt. The only slight disappointment is that the LED light isn't as bright as the first version's.

▼ Here's a close-up shot from a slight upward angle.

▼ The structure of the back is identical to the first version.

▼ I turned the arm in the wrong direction; otherwise, this angle would have looked even more menacing.

▼ Close-up.

▼ Let's see the effect with all the lights on. The MORTAL MIND LEDs have a timer and will automatically turn off after a period, which is a bit troublesome during photoshoots because you have to turn them back on every time they go out. This Shin Getter 1 has so many light-up features, and some require opening covers and removing parts to access the switch, which is rather inconvenient.

▼ Close-up with all lights on.

▼ Close-ups from different angles. That face and those eyes are just incredibly menacing. The gaze almost perfectly captures its look from the anime.

▼ The leg lights require six batteries (three AG5s for each leg), no wonder!

▼ The waist lights are on the left and right sides of the waist.

▼ Arm lights.

▼ The complete form.

▼ I've been wondering what the "Evolution" on the art card means. Perhaps CCSTOYS is telling collectors that they don't just do repaints but also make unexpected changes, like the redesigned head sculpt this time.

▼ It seems my purchase didn't include batteries, so they were bought separately. The arms require two AG3 batteries each, for a total of four.

▼ The thighs require two AG3 batteries each, for a total of four.

▼ The chest requires two AG3 batteries.

▼ The batteries for the thighs are different from other parts, requiring three AG5 batteries for each side, totaling six.

That concludes this unboxing review. Next up are some simple studio shots. I didn't take a lot of photos this time, mainly because my wife started yelling for me halfway through the shoot. I thought to myself, if I don't go to bed now, she's going to unleash a Getter Beam more terrifying than the real thing, and all my toys will probably be destroyed. In the interest of protecting all my toys so I can share more in the future, I had to wrap up the shoot quickly and didn't even get a chance to play with it.
