The popular candy toy series 'FW GUNDAM CONVERGE', released by BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", the 'Impulse Gundam Silhouette Set', scheduled for release in January 2025.
The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam is a cutting-edge machine from the 'Second Generation Series' developed under the leadership of P.L.A.N.T. Chairman Gilbert Durandal. Although restricted from using a nuclear engine by the Junius Treaty, its new deuterium beam power supply system still provides stable energy. Furthermore, it evolved a completely new equipment swapping mechanism, the 'Silhouette System', based on the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs. This system allows unmanned drones to transport equipment to the battlefield, enabling the Impulse Gundam to switch between Force, Sword, and Blast forms without returning to its mothership, adapting to complex and constantly changing battlefields.
Making its debut in the FW GUNDAM CONVERGE series, the 'Impulse Gundam' features entirely new parts for its main body and the three Silhouette Packs: Force, Sword, and Blast. Its cool physique, armor layering, and rich detailed sculpting are faithfully reproduced in an approximately 3-head-tall proportion. Additionally, three Impulse Gundam main bodies in different colors are included, corresponding to the varying VPS armor colors of each form after equipment changes.
