World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand HOT TOYS yesterday (12th) announced its latest product from "Terminator 2", the "T-800 (Battle Damaged Version 2.0)" 1/6 scale collectible figure! Shipping is expected to begin in Q3-Q4 2025, with a suggested retail price of HKD 2,230.
"Terminator 2: Judgment Day" continues the plot of the first film. After Skynet failed to assassinate "Sarah Connor", this time it sent the T-1000, a newer and stronger model than the T-800, to 1995 to kill Sarah Connor's son, the future leader of humanity, "John Connor". The human resistance, on the other hand, sent a T-800 Terminator, identical to the one in the first film but modified, to protect John. Although its overall capabilities are inferior to the liquid metal T-1000, the T-800 with its cool Endoskeleton is truly classic and beloved by many old-school toy collectors.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 1984 film "The Terminator", HOT TOYS is once again realistically recreating the battle-damaged T-800 with the latest production technology! Standing 32 cm tall with 30 points of articulation, the biggest highlight of this figure is the dual head sculpts that faithfully capture the likeness of actor "Arnold Schwarzenegger". One version features light damage, revealing torn flesh and internal metal components, while the other is heavily battle-damaged, directly showcasing the Endoskeleton's contours and red eyes. Both head sculpts feature articulated eyeballs, and the Endoskeleton's right eye is equipped with an LED light-up function, which truly looks imposing when illuminated.
Beyond the head sculpts, the T-800 features meticulously detailed mechanical damage, bloodstains, a severed left arm with exposed wiring, and an exposed, blood-stained Endoskeleton frame on the left knee, among other areas. The bullet-ridden black leather jacket is made from real leather. Accessories include a replacement left hand, a complete leather jacket that can cover the left forearm, the wooden-handled shotgun used to defeat the T-1000, a shotgun shell bandolier, a rifle, a pistol, and a grenade launcher – truly ample firepower! Coupled with a display base themed after the "steel mill" where the film's final battle takes place, complete with an LED light-up function, the overall package is truly luxurious.
