Japanese toy manufacturer ALTER (アルター), known for releasing numerous high-quality bishoujo figures, has announced its latest product based on the popular light novel "OVERLORD": the "Entoma Vasilissa Zeta so-bin Ver." 1/8 scale pre-painted figure. The suggested retail price is 19,580 JPY, with an estimated release in April 2025!
Entoma Vasilissa Zeta is one of the seven sisters of the "Pleiades" battle maid squad belonging to the Sorcerous Kingdom of Ainz Ooal Gown, often arguing with Solution about who is the younger sister. She is a mental magic caster whose true form is a spider demon. She can command various insects, and her cute, maiden-like appearance is also a mimicry formed by insects, earning her the moniker "Insect Maid." She regards humans as food, particularly enjoying devouring human limbs and then spitting out the bones.
The "Entoma Vasilissa Zeta so-bin Ver. 1/8 scale figure" is based on an illustration by the original artist so-bin-sensei. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, it recreates her in a hoodie, different from her usual attire, capturing a captivating look! One eye sparkles, and her looking-back pose and expression create a suspicious yet cute atmosphere. The hoodie's loose silhouette and the folds of its extra-long sleeves are meticulously sculpted, complemented by shaded paintwork to evoke a sense of relaxed fabric. The patterns on her clothes and the details of the amulets on her legs are also carefully reproduced, creating a rich visual effect. The shadow beneath her feet is rendered with transparent material, and the overall design evokes her original form, highlighting the mysterious worldview.
