BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division, Japan, has announced that the latest product from the 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits, "HG 1/144 Rising Freedom Gundam [Recirculation Color/Neon Yellow]", from the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", will be available for pre-sale at the rock music festival "INAZUMA ROCK FES 2024", held on September 21, 2024. This product is also planned for future sales at GUNDAM BASE and other physical events both domestically and internationally.
The STTS-909 Rising Freedom Gundam, jointly designed, developed, and produced by Orb and P.L.A.N.T., is a mobile suit created by combining design data from the Strike Freedom Gundam and the transformation technology of the Murasame series. It is piloted by the protagonist, Kira Yamato, who belongs to the world peace monitoring organization "COMPASS". This unit features an all-around screen, VPS armor, and numerous long-range beam weapons similar in design to the Freedom Gundam. When transformed into MA mode, it can cruise at high speeds and enter/exit the atmosphere independently, adapting to the operational scope of "COMPASS".
The "HG 1/144 Rising Freedom Gundam [Recirculation Color/Neon Yellow]" is produced using the same molds as the regular version, precisely reproducing the mobile suit's silhouette, armaments, and MA transformation mechanism. It also incorporates the "SEED Action System" movable joint design, utilizing multi-axis articulation to expand the range of motion for the neck, shoulders, and upper body, allowing for dynamic and cool action poses characteristic of the SEED series.
The product utilizes recycled materials made from reclaimed runner parts. The black parts retain the original color of the recycled material, complemented by striking neon yellow molded parts for accentuation, symbolizing the concept of sustainability with a futuristic color scheme. Accessories include a specially designed sticker with the "RE (RECIRCULATION)" logo, representing recycling, which can be applied to various parts of the mobile suit.
