Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys today (16th) announced two commemorative products celebrating Batman's 85th anniversary, both from the video game "Batman: Arkham Knight": "Future Batman (Black and Gold Version)" and "Batgirl (Purple and Gold Version)"! This article will provide product information for the "Batgirl (Purple and Gold Version)" 1/6th scale collectible figure, which is expected to ship from Q1 to Q2 2025, with a suggested retail price of HKD 1,580.
In the game setting of "Batman: Arkham Knight," the true identity of the Arkham Knight is the original second Robin, "Jason Todd." Kidnapped by the Joker, Jason was subjected to brutal torture for a year in Arkham Asylum... The Joker even branded a "J" onto his face. Although Jason ultimately survived, he was mentally broken. He then redirected his anger and hatred towards Bruce, who had abandoned him. Donning military battle armor and leading a group of well-trained soldiers, Jason returned to Gotham, becoming a formidable and terrifying enemy who knew Batman's weaknesses: the Arkham Knight.
In "Batman: Arkham Knight," toy collectors can not only control Batman in various battles but also play as Batgirl to complete missions in the DLC story "Batgirl: A Matter of Family"! Hot Toys previously released the Batgirl collectible figure, numbered VGM40.
This figure stands approximately 30 cm tall and features 28 points of articulation. The overall design is essentially the same as previous versions, but the black-toned battlesuit has been reimagined with a brand-new purple and gold color scheme. The heavy metallic feel and sharp lines of the gold armor, along with the intricate texture details of the form-fitting suit, are exquisitely rendered. The tall, slender physique and taut lines are undeniably captivating! The purple and gold cape is sewn from a new nylon material and features bendable wire along the edges, further enhancing the overall dynamic posing. The head sculpt allows for different emotional states by utilizing two interchangeable lower face plates.
Accessories include two Batarangs, a Batclaw (with hook attachment), a Remote Hacking Device, and multiple interchangeable hands.
