Following the "Rei Ayanami Long Hair Ver.," ALTER Co., Ltd., a Japanese company specializing in high-quality, exquisite bishoujo figures, has once again announced its latest product based on "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time": the "Shikinami Asuka Langley Hoodie Ver." 1/7 scale figure. It has a suggested retail price of 25,080 JPY and is scheduled for release in May 2025.
In the storyline of "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition," Shikinami Asuka Langley (式波・アスカ・ラングレー) remains physically 14 years old due to the "Curse of EVA," with no significant changes to her appearance. However, her left eye is covered by a black eyepatch for unknown reasons, and she wears a differently designed plugsuit. As the plot progresses, she joins the anti-NERV organization "WILLE," led by Misato Katsuragi, to carry out operations to annihilate NERV's EVAs, serving as the pilot of EVA Unit-02' Kai.
The "Shikinami Asuka Langley Hoodie Ver." 1/7 scale figure, approximately 23 cm tall, captures her cool appearance wearing her iconic red plugsuit with a loose-fitting hoodie over it. Her stern expression conveys intense emotion, with her eyepatch and slightly raised chin exuding a serious and tense atmosphere! The oversized hoodie and tight plugsuit create a contrasting style, especially with the vivid shadow painting on the military green jacket, clearly showing the loose wrinkles; the glossy plugsuit also emphasizes the difference in materials.
With interchangeable head parts, she can be displayed with her hood down, revealing her distinctive orange-brown long hair flowing in the wind, conveying a sense of dynamism.
