BANDAI CANDY, the shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced today that the highly popular 'Mobile Suit Gundam' GK model-style shokugan series, 'GUNDAM ARTIFACT', will release its fifth wave, 'GUNDAM ARTIFACT 5', in February 2025.
'GUNDAM ARTIFACT' is a shokugan product designed in the style of a GK (Garage Kit) model. Made from ABS material with a sand-yellow molding color reminiscent of synthetic resin, it recreates real-proportion mobile suits at a mini size of approximately 5.5 cm in height. Each unit can be disassembled into about 70 highly detailed parts, challenging the eyesight and painting skills of modelers. Despite the numerous parts, the individual unit price is quite affordable, at only about 500 Japanese Yen per mobile suit.
This fifth wave features five renowned mobile suits from the Universal Century, including the protagonist mobile suit from "Gundam ZZ", "ZZ Gundam"; the golden mobile suit piloted by Char Aznable under the alias Quattro Bajeena, "Hyaku-Shiki"; the final boss mobile suit from "Z Gundam" piloted by Paptimus Scirocco, "The-O"; the "Silver Bullet Suppressor" piloted by Banagher Links in "Gundam NT"; and the famous mobile suit that appeared in the late stages of the One Year War, "Zaku Cannon".

Each mobile suit's design is reinterpreted in the 'GUNDAM ARTIFACT' series style, featuring more exaggerated armor designs, high-density mechanical details, and feet resembling aircraft landing gear, among other characteristics. Each unit also comes with its signature beam rifle, cannon, and other weapon accessories, showcasing the charm of each mobile suit in a precise size.
