Bandai Spirits' adult-oriented Kamen Rider belt series, 'COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION,' has announced that the latest product from "Kamen Rider W," the "Double Driver ver.2," will be available for pre-order on September 27th on the official Bandai website, PREMIUM BANDAI. The release date has not yet been announced.
The "Double Driver," used by the two protagonists in the series, Shotaro Hidari and Philip, is an item that links their consciousnesses and combines the power of two "Gaia Memories" to transform into Kamen Rider W. Even if their physical bodies are separated, Philip can transfer the Memory and his consciousness to Shotaro after inserting the Memory, completing the transformation and fighting using Shotaro's body.
Currently, only partial product information for the "CSM Double Driver ver.2" has been revealed. The belt will include dialogue sound effects from Shotaro Hidari (played by Renn Kiriyama) and Philip (played by Masaki Suda), as used during the broadcast of "Kamen Rider W." Furthermore, the promotional video also shows that two sets of "Double Driver ver.2" appear to have infrared communication functionality. After inserting a Memory into one set, it can link with the other set to emit a transfer sound effect, perfectly recreating the transformation sequence of the two characters in the show!
