Japan's Furyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), which operates various entertainment businesses, has officially unveiled the sixteenth collaboration product from its popular "F:NEX" series and the renowned Japanese doll long-established store "Yoshitoku." This new item, themed after "Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie," is the "Madoka Kaname" Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Pre-Painted Figure. It has a suggested retail price of 198,000 JPY, will be produced on a made-to-order basis, and is scheduled for release in December 2025!
"Puella Magi Madoka Magica," which began airing in 2011, was produced by the Japanese animation studio SHAFT and directed by Akiyuki Shinbo. The story, told from the perspective of middle school student Madoka Kaname, depicts the harsh fate of "Magical Girls" who fight enemies at the cost of their wishes. Its cruel and dark tone, combined with the magical girl theme, created a novel style that was beloved by many fans! "Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion-" in 2013 continued the original TV anime, telling a brand new story that takes place after the TV series' ending.
This sixteenth "Madoka Kaname" Japanese Doll, a collaboration with Yoshitoku, stands approximately 43 cm tall. Sculptor モワノー (Mowano) meticulously recreated Madoka's figure, depicting her in a kimono, holding a temari ball, and beaming with a radiant smile. The kimono worn by Madoka was designed by doll artist Ayumi Uyama, creating a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. The furisode sleeves were dyed by Kyoto Nishijin-ori workshop "Morisan" using the "Kata Yuzen" technique, featuring a pink base color blended with vibrant Western-style roses to create a flowing sensation, exuding an extraordinary elegant texture!
It can be displayed together with the simultaneously released Homura Akemi and stored in a dedicated display case!
