Japanese model manufacturer Akishuto Seikou (StudioSYUTO) has, in addition to the "Conger Eel Sushi, Squid Sushi," also simultaneously announced another interesting new product—the "Gyoza" 1/1 Scale Assembly Model, with a suggested retail price of 1,980 JPY, scheduled for release in February 2025!
Gyoza, after being introduced to Japan from China during the Edo period, became widely popular. Unlike the Chinese method of boiling, gyoza in Japan are mostly prepared by pan-frying. The popular practice in the Kansai region of serving gyoza with rice has also surprised many foreigners. This gyoza assembly model set will include five gyoza, each approximately 7.5 x 3 cm in size. Collectors can use adhesive to assemble the 1:1 scale model, recreating the plump shape of gyoza. The included decals can be used to reproduce the gyoza filling and the golden-brown sheen of the pan-fried skin, creating a realistic appearance that is sure to whet appetites!
