GASHAPON, the gashapon brand of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, has announced the latest EX series product from the "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" series, a "Mobile Suit Gundam" heavy equipment X ensemble gashapon toy line characterized by common connection points and infinite customization. The "EX52 Perfect Gundam," originating from "Mobile Suit Gundam MSV," is scheduled for release in February 2025.
The PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam is a Gundam model used by Shiro Kyoda, the protagonist in the manga "Plamo-Kyoshiro." Later, "MSV" adopted this mobile suit's design as one of the RX-78 Gundam series' enhancement plans. Based on the RX-78-2 Gundam, this unit features extensive additional armor throughout, equipped with large shoulder cannons, a twin beam rifle, and a multi-functional large backpack that provides weapon energy, enhanced propulsion, and more. While its firepower and defense are significantly strengthened, its mobility is quite insufficient, and its initial design did not allow for armor removal. Upon its debut, it suffered a crushing defeat against highly agile mobile suits.
The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX52 Perfect Gundam" continues the series' characteristic design style, featuring intricate details at a height of 6.5 cm. It faithfully recreates the shoulder cannons, twin beam rifle, large backpack, and the full body's additional armor. Accessories include interchangeable face parts to recreate the smiling eyes from "Plamo-Kyoshiro," and all armaments can be detached. By swapping parts, the main body can be reconfigured into a newly sculpted "RX-78-2 Gundam."
