Japanese company Aniplex recently launched a new product based on the popular anime "The Elusive Samurai" — the "Hojo Tokiyuki" non-scale pre-painted figure. With a reference price of 4,800 JPY, it is currently available for pre-order at Aniplex and is scheduled for release in April 2025!

"The Elusive Samurai" (逃げ上手の若君) is a historical manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2021 by Yusei Matsui, author of the bestselling work "Assassination Classroom." In 2024, it was adapted into a TV anime by CloverWorks. The story recounts how, in 1333, the Tokuso Hojo clan was annihilated by the rebellious Ashikaga Takauji, and Kamakura fell. Hojo Tokiyuki, the Hojo clan's heir who was always skilled at escaping, fled by concealing his identity with the help of the Shinto priest Suwa Yorishige, hiding while preparing to launch a rebellion.

This "Hojo Tokiyuki" non-scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 13 cm tall, depicting Tokiyuki seated on a chair, gazing into the distance. The intricate folds and details of his priestly attire are meticulously sculpted, capturing the dynamic movement. His long ponytail, flowing to one side, adds a visual sense of motion to the otherwise static figure. The paintwork also faithfully recreates his gentle yet resolute gaze, powerfully conveying his aura as a future hero despite the small size!
