TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, today (30th) unveiled four new "Star Wars" themed products under its "CineToy TAMASHII" S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, which focuses on film and television properties. Following the reveal of "Anakin Skywalker," collectors can now look forward to the "Yoda (Classic Ver.)" action figure from "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith," priced at 8,800 Japanese Yen and slated for release in March 2025!
Master Yoda originally appeared as a puppet in "Episode V," "Episode VI," and the original "Episode I." While George Lucas had hoped to use animation, the technology wasn't mature enough at the time of "Episode I"'s release. It wasn't until "Episode II" that Yoda officially transitioned to a CG model, with the puppet scenes from "Episode I" later being digitally revised to give the revered Jedi Master a more realistic and impressive appearance.
This "Yoda (Classic Ver.)" action figure stands approximately 7 cm tall and recreates his appearance from "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" with new tooling. The most significant difference compared to the 2019 version is the adoption of real fabric for his cloak, which provides a more realistic look and enhanced texture while minimizing impact on articulation. This allows him to sit naturally in the Jedi Council chair without needing to swap parts! The main body features a fresh paint application with new colors. Accessories include two interchangeable head sculpts, multiple sets of interchangeable hands, and the Jedi Council chair. In addition to standard lightsaber effect parts, this release also includes the popular motion blur effect lightsaber accessory seen in recent new products, allowing for even greater freedom in recreating his various iconic poses from the film!
