BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, under its "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with outstanding articulation technology, officially announced today (30th) the sales information for a new product from the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" theme—the "Dark Magician" articulated figure! The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2025!
Following the release of the popular S.H.MonsterArts Yu-Gi-Oh! series figures "Blue-Eyes White Dragon," "Red-Eyes Black Dragon," and "E・HERO Flame Wingman," the next card to make its appearance is the ace monster of protagonist Yugi Muto from the anime "Yu-Gi-Oh!"—the 7-star monster card "Dark Magician" (also translated as "Black Magician": ブラック・マジシャン). He is the incarnation of "Mahad," one of the six priests serving Pharaoh Atem, and is the most trusted monster of both Yugi and his alter ego, Atem.
This S.H.MonsterArts Dark Magician stands approximately 18.5 cm tall. Based on thorough research of the character's source material, the sculpting faithfully recreates the design of the Dark Magician's armor and the flowing dynamics of the front and back loincloths. The loincloths appear to be made of soft plastic material combined with articulated joints, minimizing impact on poseability. The paintwork faithfully reproduces the classic purple armor and the metallic sheen of the green staff from the TV anime. In addition to the staff, accessories include four sets of interchangeable hands, two interchangeable face parts, and also feature the effect part for his "Dark Magic Attack" (黒・魔・導) and the magic circle seen behind the Dark Magician in his card illustration, allowing collectors to recreate his various dynamic poses from the anime!
Displaying him alongside the previously released Blue-Eyes White Dragon looks incredibly cool!
