Following earlier confirmations that Barry Keoghan, known for his roles in Marvel's "Eternals" and DC's "The Batman," would join the Netflix film adaptation of the British period crime series "Peaky Blinders" alongside returning star Cillian Murphy, the first official stills have now been released, announcing that the movie has officially begun production.
Despite the initial reveal, specific details regarding Cillian Murphy's role, the full cast, character introductions, and the overall plot remain under wraps. However, it has been confirmed that Steven Knight, the creator of the "Peaky Blinders" series, penned the screenplay for the film, and Tom Harper, who directed the first season, has returned to helm the project.
Other production team members include returning "Peaky Blinders" producers Caryn Mandabach, Guy Heeley, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason. The film is also a joint production with BBC Film.
The currently announced cast features Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan, along with Golden Globe-nominated actress Rebecca Ferguson.
