Japanese high-end figure manufacturer CCP has announced its latest collaboration project, "CCP×Yoshi. Project," with renowned Japanese sculptor Yoshi. The fourth installment, the "Fourth Angel" resin cast painted finished product, has finally been revealed! With a suggested retail price of 34,980 JPY, it is available for pre-order at the CCP ONLINE SHOP and is scheduled for release in December 2024.
The "CCP×Yoshi. Project," reinterpreted with the unique and grotesque style of genius sculptor Yoshi., presents its fourth installment: the "Fourth Angel," the first Angel to battle Evangelion Unit-01 in both the old and new versions of the series. This high-quality PS hard plastic model stands approximately 29 cm tall, with a pose inspired by the impressive scene in the series where it grasps Evangelion Unit-01's head, showcasing overwhelming power.
Its already eerie, pale face and elongated limbs, infused with Yoshi.'s sculpting design, feature a slender waist and legs, and muscular lines on the arms, presenting an even more mysterious and organic appearance. Rich paintwork emphasizes the eerie bone texture and muscle fibers. The core in its chest is made of phosphorescent material, allowing it to glow faintly in the dark after absorbing light. To recreate the classic scene from the series, in addition to the regular head, an interchangeable damaged head is included, depicting its state after being damaged by an N2 mine.
