Bandai Spirits, a Japanese toy company, has officially announced a new articulated toy series themed around "Ultraman," 『GIGANTIC UNIVERSE』. The first product in the series will be the protagonist from "Ultraman Blazar," "Ultraman Blazar." It is scheduled for release on November 16, 2024.
The setting of "Ultraman Blazar" is an Earth frequently plagued by kaiju disasters. To defend against threats from both within and outside Earth, humanity established the Global Free-for-all Force (GFF) in 1966. Returning to the modern era where nature is rapidly being destroyed, the protagonist, Gento Hiruma, who leads a special unit, merges with the giant of light, "Ultraman Blazar," from celestial body M421 during a crisis. Following this event, Gento is appointed captain of the secret special unit "SKaRD," responsible for utilizing new weaponry to resolve kaiju incidents.
The "GIGANTIC UNIVERSE Ultraman Blazar" figure is produced at the series' standard height of 30 cm. It features rich detailing and color printing to faithfully recreate the head's blue flame-like appearance and the asymmetrical, vein-like patterns across its body. The entire figure boasts 22 points of articulation, including flexible neck joints, dual-axis movable shoulder joints, and a rotating chest design, allowing for dynamic and action-packed battle poses.
