Sydney Sweeney Slams Paparazzi for Harassing Her at Home: 'Let Her Come Out in a Bikini and We'll Leave!'

Rising star Sydney Sweeney, known for her enviable physique and bold personality, recently became the new brand ambassador for the popular men's soap brand Dr. Squatch. However, her growing fame has also attracted unwelcome attention. In a recent interview with "Glamour" magazine, Sweeney opened up about a disturbing incident involving paparazzi harassment at her own home.

"My actual safety is threatened when they're taking pictures outside of my house without my consent," she stated.

Sweeney revealed that a group of paparazzi recently gathered outside her Florida home and began shouting at her family.

"They were saying, 'You let her come out in a bikini, I’ll get my picture, and then I’ll leave!'"

She also refuted online speculation that she had hired the photographers herself. "I'm with my cousins and my family in my backyard. Why would I call the paparazzi? Why would I do that?"

Sweeney said the paparazzi forced her to take photos of them as evidence. "They came at 8 a.m. and didn't leave until 4 p.m. I'm in my own house, I should feel comfortable and safe, right?"

Sweeney emphasized that her main concern wasn't the photographers themselves, but the fact that the published photos revealed her home's location, violating her privacy.

"Now everyone knows where I live. Every time a boat goes by my front yard [across the water], I hear, 'That's Sydney Sweeney's house!' My front yard has become some kind of tourist spot."

Ironically, the interview itself was conducted in Sweeney's front yard, highlighting how a journalist could have approached her professionally rather than through invasive means. The article noted that during the interview, cars would frequently slow down, and one female driver even rolled down her window to wave. Initially thinking it might be a rideshare, both the reporter and Sweeney realized they didn't know the person, prompting them to move to a less conspicuous location.

Despite these challenges, Sweeney shared that a growing number of young fans have told her she has made them more confident in their own bodies.

"That means so much to me, because I really believe in empowering others and letting people feel confident in their bodies and embracing their sexuality," Sweeney said. "If you have boobs, that's great—show them off!"
