Furyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), a Japanese company with diverse entertainment businesses, has once again collaborated with the renowned Japanese doll long-established store "Yoshitoku" for their popular "F:NEX" series. In addition to the 16th installment, "Madoka Kaname," they are also simultaneously releasing another new product based on "Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie" – the "Homura Akemi" Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Pre-Painted Figure. The reference price is 198,000 JPY, produced by made-to-order, and is scheduled for release in December 2025!
The long-established Japanese doll store, Yoshitoku Co., Ltd., has been in business for over 300 years. Since the Edo period, they have been crafting Gogatsu Ningyo (Children's Day dolls) and Hina Dolls (Hina Matsuri dolls). For over three centuries, they have maintained a consistent approach to doll making, and in the 21st century, they have quickly adapted to societal trends, collaborating with various innovative modern IPs!
This 17th collaboration with Yoshitoku, the Homura Akemi Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Pre-Painted Figure, stands approximately 43 cm tall. Sculpted by Mowano, it depicts Homura Akemi wearing elevated geta and holding a Kyubey-shaped kimono bag. The kimono, created by doll artist Ayumi Uyama, retains the essence of her magical girl transformation, showcasing a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. Abundant lace is used at the collar and hem to express intricate details. For the furisode sleeves, the Kyoto Nishijin-ori workshop "Mori-san" utilized the "Kata-Yuzen" dyeing technique, featuring a deep purple base adorned with various flowers and butterflies, presenting a luxurious yet dignified atmosphere!
It can be displayed together with the simultaneously released Madoka Kaname and stored in a dedicated display case!
