While anticipation for Netflix's "The Witcher" has significantly dipped since Henry Cavill's departure from the video game and novel adaptation, the streamer has remained tight-lipped about Season 4 since its first teaser dropped in May, offering no new trailers or release dates.

However, after recently revealing that he had only played CD Projekt Red's "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" before filming the series, new Geralt Liam Hemsworth has now hinted that Netflix intends to develop a fifth season, with a production schedule seemingly already in place.
With "The Witcher" Season 4 still in production, its Netflix release date remains unconfirmed. However, Season 5 is expected to swiftly enter production once Season 4 wraps. Hemsworth shared on "LIVE with Kelly and Mark" that Season 4 is slated to conclude filming in October 2024. The cast and crew will then take a four-month break before commencing production on Season 5, indicating that filming for the final season could begin in March 2025.

Previous reports indicated that Season 5 will be the final installment of Netflix's "The Witcher," with Liam Hemsworth's Geralt look officially unveiled in the initial teaser, continuing the storyline after Henry Cavill's tenure. Whether Hemsworth is a suitable fit for the role will only become clear once Season 4 premieres.
