Following his return to Hollywood with 2022's "Emancipation" and 2024's "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," Will Smith is reportedly set to reunite with acclaimed action director Michael Bay after nearly three decades for a new Netflix original action film, "Fast and Loose."
According to a report from Deadline, "Fast and Loose" is currently in final negotiations, meaning specific production dates and additional cast members are still under wraps. However, sources indicate that Smith has already decided to exit the previously scheduled thriller "Sugar Bandits" to prioritize his collaboration with Bay.
"Fast and Loose" will reportedly star Smith as a man who wakes up in Tijuana, Mexico, with no memory. As he attempts to piece together his past, he discovers he has been living a double life: simultaneously a crime syndicate boss and an undercover CIA operative.
In addition to Michael Bay directing, the screenplay for "Fast and Loose" boasts a strong writing team, including Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, known for "The Meg," alongside Chris Bremner, who penned "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," and Eric Pearson, writer of "Black Widow."
