From Adam West to Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson, nearly a dozen actors have donned the cowl. Yet, for many fans, Tim Burton's iconic take on "Batman" remains the definitive version. If you count yourself among them, then a new novel, spinning off from the 1989 "Batman" film, might be exactly what you're looking for.

Titled "Batman: Resurrection," this new novel is a direct spin-off from the 1989 "Batman" film. It's penned by acclaimed author John Jackson Miller, known for his extensive work on the "Star Wars" novel series.
"Batman: Resurrection" picks up directly after the events of Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman" film. Even with the Joker dead, Gotham City finds no peace. Batman, still reeling and unstable from his recent confrontation with the Joker, must quell the rising tide of anarchy, leading to fresh challenges for the Caped Crusader.
"Batman: Resurrection" is slated for release on October 15, 2024.
