Following the popular buzz around their "Sushi Model" series, Japanese model manufacturer StudioSYUTO Akito Seikou has now unveiled a brand new style of product: the "David Statue 1/35 Scale Assembly Model"! The suggested retail price is 3,080 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2025.
One of the most widely recognized works of the Renaissance era, the "David Statue" is a masterpiece by the Renaissance giant Michelangelo (1475-1564). Its prototype is King David, the Jewish hero from the Bible. Through his sculpted abdominal muscles, exposed genitalia, and resolute gaze, the statue portrays an image of readiness to face battle in the nude, attracting millions of pilgrims to the Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy, every year.
The StudioSYUTO "David Statue 1/35 Scale Assembly Model" stands approximately 15 cm tall after assembly. In its gray-white plastic kit, every detail is meticulously reproduced, thoroughly conveying the power and beauty of the David statue! Even the crucial focal points are carefully crafted, adding to the enjoyment during assembly (?). To protect David's privacy, a replaceable "fig leaf part" is also included to cover the genitalia, showing great thoughtfulness!
