The alloy model series 『HI-METAL R』, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has officially announced the latest product from the anime "Armored Trooper Votoms", the 「Scopedog (Space Battle Specification)」, scheduled for release in April 2025.
The official main AT developed by the Gilgamesh Army, the 「ATM-09-ST Scopedog」, was the most mass-produced unit during the Hundred Years' War. In the series, in addition to being piloted by the protagonist Chirico Cuvie, its extremely high versatility led to it being modified into various derivative specifications and utilized across different units. This product features the space battle specification, equipped with multi-directional thrusters on its back.
The main body of the 「HI-METAL R Scopedog (Space Battle Specification)」 is based on previously released Scopedog series models, with the color changed to a richer dark green. At an approximate height of 165mm, it recreates rich armor surface details, body markings, and the distinctive triple rotating lens on the head, boasting a cool and realistic appearance. Some joints are made with alloy parts, providing both joint stability and a wide range of articulation, allowing for flexible poses such as holding a gun with both hands or squatting to shoot.
Weaponry includes a heavy machine gun, a rocket launcher utilizing newly designed magazine parts, and the completely new 「multi-directional thruster」. The multi-directional thruster not only precisely recreates the detailed shapes of each nozzle, fuel tank, and piping, but also features movable mechanisms to adjust the overall backpack position up and down, and to adjust the nozzle supports up and down, reducing interference with the main body's articulation.
Additionally, accessories include a completely new sculpt of the heroine, the articulated figure of 「Fyana」. Her entire body features multiple points of articulation and comes with interchangeable hand parts, head parts, and a dedicated stand. Made to the same scale as the Scopedog, she can recreate scenes of climbing onto the unit or entering the cockpit.
